Oh, this type of comment is my favorite. This'll get a little philosophical, but I always enjoy breaking down these disillusioned remarks as it's not quite the slick 'gotcha' zinger you think it is on the surface.
If you're familiar with any amount of human history, it's well-established that those most successful are often the ones that focus on their wants and not the betterment of the commune, often earning their success through irreverence, greed, salaciousness or otherwise spurned lifepaths we're warned not to go down. Now, this works because people like us exist to support these behaviors. It's why the exaggerated inside joke that prostitution is the oldest profession in existence is made. Far fewer find success through piety or the age-old, moralistic life lessons we're taught are the right way to act in a civilized society. The former is infinitely easier--and thus, attractive to many--but requires not adhering to the typical social contract most people in life inherently abide by.
So when you say that someone is 'jealous' over another's success, it's entirely speculative unless you're certain (which you aren't) that their version of success aligns (or doesn't) with the person in question's goals. It all depends on your outlook on life and if you care about the methodology in which said goals are achieved. Some people have boundaries, some don't. It's an independent choice everyone makes for themselves.
All of that is to say that as you know nothing about anyone here, we could just as easily spin the same nonsense about you. That in your case, you're elated with being a full-on simp in the truest sense of the word--the kind people make fun of for taking this past irrelevant gooning and turning it into actively pining over (see: defending) someone whom has never known, nor will ever know you exist, all in an effort to idolize their path to success. Doesn't that seem a little ironic to you? All but a handful of denizens here (myself included) are leeching off of a few paying subs that are nice enough to share with us. We laugh, we joke, we complain in the company of strangers & we move on knowing this is an inconsequential part of our day--just another way to pass the time. It's an odd place to try and come across as holier-than-thou.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
(If you've read this far, hey--what a cool guy. This isn't meant to pick on MaimyFan specifically, just to poke fun at the notion that anyone here is above the base desire to goon to someone hot and laugh about it along the way. If her absence is really bothering you enough to have real feelings here, you should for sure take time to go outside and experience a little bit of the outdoors. Otherwise, just enjoy shooting the shit with us and laughing at the dumb shit we get up to here. Cheers.)
